William Foster looks to emerge as super featherweight contender

Boxing is the family business for super featherweight William Foster

His older brother is light heavyweight Charles Foster, who recently lost his first fight in the main event of a ShoBox: The Next Generation card, against Ali Izmailov in a close and competitive fight that saw Izmailov get the unanimous decision. The brothers first started boxing when their father William Foster Jr. took them to the gym for the first time. Their father was also a professional boxer as well.

Foster, who faces Fradimil Macayo on ProBoxTV.com, on Wednesday, July 12th, live from the White Sands Events Center, in Plant City, Florida, is aiming to take his career to the next level, with the vacant WBA Fedecentro super featherweight title will be at stake for the winner. The bout serves as the sternest test of Foster's career since beating surging contender Edwin De Los Santos. In his way, Macayo a southpaw with a ton of power.

Starting at ten-years-old, Foster is accredited with an amateur record of 64-17 while being noted as competing at the Junior Olympic Nationals, the PAL Nationals, and being the runner-up at the 2014 Golden Gloves Nationals.

Nicknamed "The Silent Assassin," a moniker he has fully bought into as his handle for Instagram is @sshh_assassin, alluding to the silent part of his nickname. As expected, Foster is not a fighter which the notebook comes out for an aspiring boxing writer to get a slew of great quotes after his fights, but that is secondary to the fact that Foster is a world-class fighter, who credits his success to the meticulous preparation of his opponents. As Foster is closely making his way toward the coveted title of contender status in a vibrant division full of interesting names, such as Oscar Valdez, and Hector Luis Garica.

Given the fact that super featherweight is looking for the next generation talent of the division since Shakur Stevenson has left the division. Foster now has a chance to garner a form of a belt and move further up the rankings. A win here puts him higher in the WBA rankings - as the current WBA super featherweight champion, Hector Luis Garcia will face Lamont Roach Jr., at a yet-to-be-announced date in the future. Currently, Foster is ranked number-fifteenth in the WBA super featherweight rankings.

For Foster, this is a moment to break out as a potential future star of boxing.
